The finish is rubbed back by hand at the edges and the high points. It arrives with a history it has not earned yet, and then earns it.

Wipe with a dry cloth after wet days and let it dry at room temperature. Condition twice a year with a neutral cream. Empty it before storing so the base keeps its shape.
