Workshop
We repair anything we make
There is no warranty period, because we don't think a good object should stop being ours after a year.
What we can fix
Re-stitching failed seams, replacing hardware, re-burnishing worn edges, re-lining bags, re-welting and re-soling footwear, replacing belt keepers and punching extra holes. If it came out of this workshop, we can take it apart and put it back together.
What it costs
If the failure is our workmanship, the repair is free and so is the return postage. If it's wear, accident or the passage of ten years, we charge for materials and nothing for labour. We'll quote before starting, always.
How to send something in
- 1
Message us first
Email hello@hidebound.co.zw with a photo and roughly when you bought it. We'll tell you whether it's worth sending.
- 2
Post or drop it off
Any courier to the workshop, or bring it in on a Saturday morning.
- 3
We'll quote
Usually within two working days of it arriving.
- 4
Repair and return
Most repairs take a week. Re-soling takes two or three.
Other people's work
We take on repairs of leather goods we didn't make when we have bench space, but our own customers come first and we'll say so if the queue is long.
